Overview
Reimagining how popsicle bars can be packaged for customers as they enjoy their sweet treat, this concept was inspired by creamsicle bars. Three tropical fruit flavors: Lychee, Pineapple, and Calamansi were selected for a cooling treat on a hot summer’s day.
Research
Asian packaging served as inspiration for the design, with a focus on exploring ways to represent the tropical fruit without depicting it in full. To understand the information on product packaging, popular creamsicle bars were purchased as reference. Several iterations of the packaging were drafted, but the final design represents the fruit by showing its country of origin and national flower. Each fruit inspired its own color palette, reflecting the vibrant flavors of each popsicle. Additionally, the outer and interior packaging was carefully designed to be consistent but unique for each panel. The panels hold important information from flavors, nutrition info, and marketing made different for each flavor.
