Overview
Desktop and mobile website designed for the infamous Alcatraz escape which still remains un solved. A detective-like site, where the user follows a timeline of the escape staged with morning routines, investigation photos, and route the trio took.
Research
To accurately depict the escape, the main source of information was an official government article written by the FBI. Based on this information and references from a PBS article, a timeline was created and sectioned off into 6 titles. Each title allows the user to gain more insight into the event through interactive clock, map, evidence page, and a closing case file. To give a sense of mystery, dark foggy colors were selected with a stark orange color that represented inmates. Furthermore, photos were intentionally desaturated to give a vintage, suspenseful effect to show the age and mystery behind the infamous Alcatraz unsolved escape.
