Overview
Developed a name and brand mark that best represents the Hawai'i Perinatal Federal Grant Project while raising awareness of the available resources for Native Hawaiian families. Hawai'i Perinatal Resources is currently in year three of a five year federal grant project aimed at providing Native Hawaiian Families access to care professionals and support services during every stage of the perinatal period, from preconception up to early childhood.
Development
To accurately reflect both medical and Hawaiian values, a wordlist was created to serve as a foundation that described elements, ideas, and themes of the project. The word list for perinatal involved referencing medical, maternal, and Hawaiian words and values to best emulate the intentions of the program such as makuahine (mother), star as a symbol for navigation and growth.
Branding & Marketing
Mock ups of posters, brochures, and signs were created to show the client how a logo can spread awareness for Kokoke across all islands. These are important assets for building a cohesive brand identity, and gain recognition as a trustworthy support system.
